How Fort Lee Weathered the Storm

With no reported power outages, or emergencies, Fort Lee fared well.

Chief of Police Keith Bendul, said thatΒ with no storm-related power outages or emergencies, Fort Lee weathered the storm well.

Despite the National Weather Service's pre-stormΒ forecast of heavy winds, and PSEGΒ advisories that storm-related outages may occur, Bendul said, "ThereΒ were no heavy winds that brought down trees or caused limbs to fall taking power lines down."

Bedul commended all emergency services workers and the DPWΒ who worked during the storm to keep Fort Lee and its residents safe.Β HeΒ reported that the DPW worked throughout the night removing snow from Fort Lee's streets and salting the roadways.

Bendul advises residents that all parking bans in place during the storm have been lifted and normal parking has resumed on all borough streets.
