Jewish Family Service to Host Anniversary Gala

Jewish Family Service of Bergen and North Hudson will host an anniversary fundraising gala celebrating 61 years of helping people in need on Sunday November 17 at The Rockleigh.

Created over 60 years ago, JFS has become an organization offering vital services to everyone in good times and in times of need.

“We help more than 3,000 people in the community and deliver 26,000 meals annually,” says Lisa Fedder, Executive Director.  “Additionally, JFS offers many other services including a food pantry, clinical services, career counseling, and much more.”

 

The evening celebrates 61 years of the organizations timeless values treating those in need with dignity and care. The gala will honor Bernie Koster, board trustee for his leadership and service. Janice Leiberman, of NBC News, will serve as Master of Ceremonies during the program portion of the event following a cocktail reception and strolling dinner.  A seated dessert will complete the festivities.

Proceeds from the gala will help fund JFS vital services including Kosher Meals on Wheels, Food Pantry, individual and group counseling, after school programs, care for the elderly and more.  To purchase tickets, call 201-837-9090 or email Jeff Nadler at jeffn@jfsbergen.org.
