Owner of Former Clams Casino to Open GW Grill on Hudson Terrace

The Boys are Back in Town: the owner of the iconic Clams Casino and his business partner are opening a new American-style restaurant on Hudson Terrace.

If you came of age in a certain time in Fort Lee,Β you can't forget Clams Casino. And if you can't forget Clams Casino, then you can't forget Donald Sposa, the owner of Clams. Well, he's back. And this time he's brought Joe Kerr with him.

Fort Lee's own dynamic duo--Donald Beena Sposa and his business partner Joe Kerr--are opening the GW Grill on Hudson Terrace inside the site that once housed the old Tom Swifts.

"I always wanted to come back to Fort Lee," Sposa told Patch. "Joe and I were just looking for the right location--and here it is, in one of the greatestΒ spots in Fort Lee."

The GW Grill, with its amazing view of the George Washington Bridge, will offer American-style food, along with brick oven pizza. "Comfort food," as Sposa emphasizes.

For Clams Casino alumni, this bi-level restaurant will also offer a full bar with a fireplace on the lowerΒ level, andΒ al frescoΒ diningΒ during theΒ warmer months.

"Our plan was to open St. Patrick's Day," Sposa said. However, they are not sure that they will be able to meet that deadline.

"If we don't open on St. Patrick'sΒ Day, we'llΒ open sometime in lateΒ March or early April," Sposa said.

To quote a great song, "The Boys are Back in Town."
