Playground Update and Weekend Wanderings

Coytesville Park kiddie pool is being removed, but that doesn't mean there's no place for kids (or adults) to play

Mike Maresca from the Fort Lee Parks Department reached out to About Town Thursday to give us a further update on the playground pool situation. As reported, the playground kiddie pool in Coytesville Park on Sixth St. is being removed due to the almost constant need for repairs and a continued decrease in usage compared to kiddie pools in other town playgrounds. Maresca said that greenery is being added where the pool once stood and the equipment is going to be enhanced. Also, a new fence, curbs and mulch will be added.

Maresca also confirmed that no other kiddie pool is scheduled to close. In fact, considerable improvements are scheduled for the kiddie pool in Westview Park in anticipation of the inclusion of the swimmers who live near Coytesville Park.

The weekend is upon us once again!

You can visit them on Facebook to print a coupon, but Metro is a good neighbor and honors their offers, even if you don’t have a coupon.
