Three Train Cars Derail Off Tracks In Englewood: Report

Cars carrying non-hazardous material, authorities said.

Three train cars derailed off CSX tracks in Englewood Monday afternoon in what officials are calling a “minor” incident, The Record reported.

Englewood fire officials said the incident occurred shortly before noon and the cars did not roll over, nothing spilled from them, and there were no injuries reported, the report states.

According to the report, CSX is working on getting the rails moving again, according to Lt. David Haenelt of the Englewood Fire Department.

The tracks are a part of the Northern Branch Corridor and not a part of CSX’s River Line, which carries crude oil from North Dakota to Philadelphia, the report states.
