The suspect allegedly assaulted the male victim with a bottle outside Studio 4 Nightclub, causing severe injuries to his neck.

A Weehawken man was charged with attempted murder after allegedly hitting a man in the head and neck with a bottle outside a Fort Lee nightclub early Saturday morning, police said.
responded to an aggravated assault call at Studio 4 Nightclub on Route 4 East at 2:30 a.m. Saturday to find Jose Sanchez-Hernandez, 24, of Hackensack, “bleeding profusely” from the neck, police said Saturday. Club security was restraining Cristian Murillo-Munoz, 24, of Weehawken, according to police.
Police say Murillo-Munoz allegedly struck Sanchez-Hernandez in the “head and neck area” with a bottle as Sanchez-Hernandez was attempting to enter the club.

“We believe [Sanchez-Hernandez] is going to make it; we don’t know right now. He had to be operated on at [the hospital]," Fort Lee Police Chief Thomas Ripoli told Patch.
Citing an ongoing investigation, Ripoli declined to say whether the incident was linked to a string of recent late-night weekend fights outside nightclubs in Fort Lee, including Studio 4, but he did say, “We’ve been putting extra people on during the weekends.”
Murillo-Munoz is currently being held at the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail with no 10 percent option, police said.
