1 Dead, Multiple Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Freehold Township
The accident occurred Monday night on Jackson Mills Road, prosecutors said.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — One person was killed and multiple people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Monday night, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.
Freehold Township Police responded to Jackson Mills Road near Geisler Road for a report of a three-car collision around 10:30 p.m., Santiago said.
A 20-year-old man was driving north on Jackson Mills Road when prosecutors said he collided with a Ford Transit Van driven by a 40-year-old man.

As the vehicles collided, a 21-year-old man was driving south on Jackson Mills Road behind the van, when Santiago said he sideswiped the van's passenger side, coming to a stop off to the right-hand side of the road.
The 20-year-old was rushed to a local hospital and succumbed to his injuries Tuesday morning, prosecutors said. The two other drivers were brought to a separate hospital with moderate injuries.

The prosecutor's office did not release the names or hometowns of the drivers. As of Wednesday morning, no charges or summonses have been issued.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team and the Freehold Township Police Department are investigating the incident.
