Christmas Shows, Bonfires: This Weekend In Monmouth County

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The holidays are almost here!

As the winter season continues, there’s plenty of festive events around Monmouth County for you to enjoy.

Here are five things happening this weekend:

Freehold Public Library’s 120th Anniversary Celebration
This Saturday, the Freehold Public Library will host their 120th Anniversary Celebration.

From 2-5 p.m., attendees will be able to enjoy refreshments, a building tour, an open house, guest speakers and more.

A Christmas Carol Radio Show
Experience the magic of Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol” in the Holmdel Theatre Company’s radio play adaptation on Saturday or Sunday. Shows will take place at 8 p.m. or 3 p.m.

San Valentinetti: Christmas Comes To Town
Sal “The Voice” Valentinetti will be bringing Christmas to the Vogel this Sunday. Shows will take place at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Make A Bird Feeder
This Sunday, the Hazlet Environmental Commission is inviting all nature lovers to their Tree Trimming event from 1-4 p.m.

Attendees will be able to use items like peanut butter, birdseed, cracked corn, popcorn, cranberries and cereal to make a bird feeder. The feeders will be hung in Natco Park.

The free event will take place at the Environmental Building in Natco Park, located at 399 Middle Road, Hazlet.

Experience A Pine Barren Bonfire
This Sunday, you can enjoy games, s'mores and more at the Monmouth County Parks Systems' Pine Barren Bonfire.

The event will be hosted from 6-8 p.m. at Turkey Swamp Park. Additional bonfire sessions will be hosted on Jan. 13 and Feb. 12.
