Back To School: Freehold Borough 2023-24 School Calendar

FREEHOLD, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Freehold Borough, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Freehold Borough School District.

The first day of school for most elementary students in Freehold is Sept. 7. First day for the Freehold Regional High School District is Sept. 6.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Freehold Borough School District

• First Day: Sept. 7.
• Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 23 and 24, with early dismissal Nov. 22.
• Winter Recess: Early dismissal Dec. 22; school reopens Jan. 2, 2024.
• Spring Recess: Early dismissal March 28; school reopens April 8, 2024.
• Last Day: June 20, 2024.

Two days have been built into the calendar for weather or other emergencies, so some calendar dates may change.

Freehold Regional High School District (See full calendar here.)

• First Day: Sept. 6; Sept. 5 is ninth-grade orientation.
• Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 22, early dismissal; Nov. 23 and 24.
• Winter Recess: Dec. 22, early dismissal; schools reopen Jan. 2, 2024.
• Spring Recess: March 28, early dismissal; schools reopen April 8, 2024.
• Last Day: June 18, 2024, with early dismissal. June 20 is graduation day, with a rain date of June 21, 2024.
