Children's Cooking Classes Start This Week
A look at events happening around Freehold this week.

The latest craze on TV these days seems to be cooking shows with children as the experts in the kitchen. This week one local church is giving local kids a chance to hone their skills on the stove.
On Tuesday afternoon the Hope Christian School will host two classes for children of different ages. During the class they will be able to make appetizers, entrees and desserts learning new recipes to share with their families. For children between the ages of 3 and 5 classes are on Tuesdays between 12:30 and 1:30 with children between the ages of 5 and 12 starting their class at 3:30.
On Saturday St. Rose of Lima will be hosting a yard sale and clothing drive. Tables can also be reserved for anyone looking to sell their items during the sale which will be held rain or shine. The fun starts at 9 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. with all the proceeds going to the St. Rose of Lima Baccalaureate Fund.

Also on Saturday the Freehold Township Heritage Society will be hosting an Artisan Festival at the Oakley Farm located at the corner of Oakley Drive and Wemrock Road. Running from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. the event is scheduled to feature over 40 vendors and house tours of the historic facility.
