Downed Power Lines Close Part Of Monmouth Road

FREEHOLD, NJ — Monmouth Road (CR 537) is closed in both directions from Siloam Road (CR 527) in Freehold Township to County Road 571 in Jackson Township due to downed power lines across the highway, Freehold Police said Wednesday morning.

Both directions of travel are impassable at this time and utility crews are on their way to the scene, according to officials.

Police said the public should expect the roadway to be closed for a few hours and urges drivers to plan an alternate route.
