Fire At Freehold Twp. Medical Building Under Investigation
A fire mid-morning on Monday at 500 W. Main Street in Freehold Township temporarily closed part of Route 537.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — The cause of a fire at a medical building here Monday morning is under investigation but is not considered suspicious, township police said.
Area firefighters responded to a fire that broke out Monday morning at 500 W. Main St., here, according to a social media report from Central Jersey Fire Buffs on X. The fire was at a one-story medical facility that houses Millennium Eye Care.
The building sustained significant damage, but no injuries were reported, according to police.

The cause is under investigation.
The response temporarily shut down a portion of West Main Street, also known as County Route 537, creating traffic backups earlier.

Freehold Township fire officials were not immediately available to discuss other details of the fire.
Multiple crews responded from all over the Freehold Township region, even as far as Englishtown, to get the fire under control, according to a report on News 12 New Jersey.
The site also houses a chiropractor, Freehold Surgical and Genesis Eye Wear, according to online information.
