Former Giant Coming to Freehold Thursday

Whether you are looking to meet one of your sports icons or just help a good cause there is plenty to do in Freehold today.
At iPlay America former New York Giants linebacker Harry Carson will be signing copies of his books tonight at 6:30. Carson, who retired 25 years ago, will be at City Square Bar and Grille until 8:30 signing copies of his books “1986 Championship Game Playbook” and “Captain for Life.”
Before meeting the player who terrorized offenses for the Giants local residents will have the chance to take part in an annual blood drive in downtown Freehold. Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande will once again be sponsoring the drive along with the Central Jersey Blood Center. The center’s bus will be parked in front of her main street office from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service is calling for a mostly sunny day today with a high near 54 expected during the day. When the sun sets the temperature is expected to drop dramatically with a low of 33 expected. The weather will be so cold that there could be patchy frost across our area after 4 a.m.
