There, they found an Infiniti had struck a Ford pick-up truck, driven by Frick. He was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the Infiniti was uninjured. The driver of the Infiniti was an 18-year-old male from North Brunswick, authorities said.

No charges have been filed as of yet; the crash is still under investigation, they said.

An initial investigation by New Brunswick and Middlesex county officials determined that the Infiniti was going southbound on Route 1 when the driver lost control, crossing over the median and striking the Ford truck going north. News 12 reported the Infiniti landed on top of the pick-up.

The accident shut down Route 1 north for hours Wednesday, with all lanes not opening until well into the afternoon.
