
A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Freehold resident after he allegedly distributed a controlled dangerous substance to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s office.
Andrew Lombardi, 22, of Glenbook Drive, faces five charges including possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, distribution, possession of an imitation controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and distribution of an imitation controlled dangerous substance.
According to the indictment, on Nov. 4 Lombardi allegedly sold Ecstasy to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office while in Freehold Township.

Additionally, the indictment states that on Nov. 21, Lombardi allegedly passed off and sold an imitation controlled dangerous substance to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office as Ecstasy.
The indictment defines an imitation controlled dangerous substance as something being represented as a controlled dangerous substance when it really is not.
