FREEHOLD, NJ — Freehold Raceway Mall is teaming up with New Jersey Blood Services to host a blood drive on Oct. 21 for those impacted by storms in the southeast.

The event comes after New Jersey Blood Services issued an urgent call for donors to help hospitals in the tristate region and hurricane-affected areas meet ongoing and emergency medical needs.

Since Hurricane Milton made landfall on Florida’s west coast and threatened the Tampa Bay area with a record-breaking storm surge, blood centers have faced closures and cancellations in impacted areas.

According to officials, these disruptions are expected to continue, further straining the nation’s limited blood supply.

To help alleviate some of this demand, donations made at the mall’s blood drive will directly support efforts to supply hospitals in affected areas.
