Freehold Runners To Race In 2025 New York City Marathon

Thousands of runners will take on the NYC Marathon on Sunday, including some from Freehold. See details on how to watch:

FREEHOLD, NJ — The 2025 New York City Marathon is set to kick off on Sunday, Nov. 2, with tens of thousands of runners crossing the starting line, including many from Freehold.

For 2025, there are over 55,000 runners from 137 countries who will take part in the TCS New York City Marathon course that runs 26.2 miles through the five boroughs of NYC. As of Tuesday, there are more than 4,600 runners from New Jersey in the field.

Watch Locally
Viewers can watch a broadcast of the race live on race day via WABC-TV, Channel 7, from 8-11:30 a.m. ET.

At 7 a.m. ET, pre-race coverage will begin, and continued coverage of the race will be live until 1 p.m. ET. Live streaming will also be available on the ABC 7 New York App and ABC7NY.com from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET.

From 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, ABY7NY.com will also present a view of the finish line.

Watch Nationally
For national coverage, viewers can tune in to ESPN2 from 8-11:30 a.m. ET.

The broadcast will also be available live in Spanish on ESPN3 (which is accessible through the ESPN App and ESPN.com) from 8-11:30 a.m. ET.

From 3-5 p.m., a live, two-hour show from the finish line will air nationally on ABC Network, covering celebrities and thousands of everyday runners crossing the finish line. Viewers should check local listings for other time zones.

For those who can’t watch the race but still want to listen in, you can listen live on iHeartRadio’s 710 WOR AM and 104.3 HD2 in New York beginning at 7 a.m. ET.

You can also listen to the race-day broadcast via the iHeartRadio app from 8 a.m. ET.

Track Runners
To cheer on a family member or friend participating in the marathon, viewers can download the TCS New York City Marathon app, which is available for free on the Apple and Google Play stores.
