Freehold School Schedule to be Announced Tonight
FRHSD, Freehold Township and Freehold Borough schools will announce whether or not schools will open tomorrow later tonight.

By 2 p.m. on Tuesday, a total of 1,770 Freehold residents were still without power. Power outages, fallen trees and down wires have caused schools in Freehold Borough and Freehold Township to close for over a week and made districts tap into their built-in snow days.
On Monday, Nov. 5 the Freehold Borough Board of Education met and discussed the possibilities for the remainder of the week. While a decision was not made by the end of the meeting, the board stated that their goal is to open for the remainder of the week as full days if it is deemed safe for students and staff to do so. Some of the major factors discussed for opening schools included walking safety for students and commuting time for staff and students that may have been displaced or are coming from areas that have traffic lights out.
At this time, the remainder of the school week schedule is also unknown for Freehold Township schools and students of the Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD).

The FRHSD website states that as of Nov. 5, both Freehold Township High School and Manalapan High School were without power. The website further explains that if power does not return to these two schools, the FRHSD will remain closed until the power returns.
Freehold Township schools will make a decision by 6 p.m. tonight. If school does resume tomorrow, there will be an early dismissal. Lunch will not be served.
