A seven-count indictment was returned against the former Freehold Intermediate School teacher, prosecutors said.

FREEHOLD, NJ — A Monmouth County Grand Jury has returned a seven-count indictment against a former Freehold Intermediate School teacher in connection to sexual crimes committed against a teenage student, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.
Allison Havemann-Niedrach, 44, of Jackson (Ocean County), has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child via manufacture of child sex abuse materials (CSAM), two counts of second-degree endangering, second-degree official misconduct, second-degree sexual assault, and third-degree endangering, Santiago said.
An investigation involving members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau and the Freehold Borough Police Department found that the alleged criminal conduct by Havemann-Niedrach started in early 2024, prosecutors said.

According to a report from the Asbury Park Press, police were alerted around the start of June about concerns the school's vice principal had about the relationship between Havemann-Niedrach and the victim.
When police later questioned the victim, the report said he denied anything was going on between him and Havemann-Niedrach and claimed he was dating the teacher’s daughter.

Once the victim turned his phone over to police, authorities discovered over 25,000 text messages between Havemann-Niedrach and the victim, according to the report.
A few days later, the victim’s mother contacted the police and told them that her son admitted that he had been in a sexual relationship with Havemann-Niedrach. Due to concerns for the victim’s mental health, the report said he was brought to a hospital to be evaluated.
Havemann-Niedrach was arrested without incident in June 2024, and was a special education teacher at Freehold Intermediate School since March 2022, according to Patch’s previous reporting.
The case is being prosecuted by Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Danielle Zanzuccki, Director of the Special Victims Bureau. Havemann-Niedrach is being represented by Thomas Huth, Esq., with an office in Freehold.
Anyone with information on Havemann-Niedrach’s activities is being urged to contact Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Dawn Correia at 800-533-7443.
