
When the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra takes the stage at the Princeton Alliance Church early next month one of their featured violinists will be 17-year-old Freehold resident NaYoung Yang.
The group includes not only professional musicians but also high-level amateurs, college students and talented players like Yank with a gift for music. The orchestra is under the direction of Chiu-Tze Lin who has toured the world as a musical performer.
Yang is scheduled to perform the Scottish Fantasy by Bruch. When she is not shining with her violin Yang is a senior at Biotech Vocational High School of Monmouth County. She is also a student in the Julliard pre-college program and has performed as a soloist in places like Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall and Merkin Concert Hall.

Since 2008 Yang has won more than 20 music competitions and has played as a soloist with the NJ Inter-generational Symphony Orchestra, the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey, the Camp Orchestra of Westminster Conservatory and the Island Chamber Symphony in New York.
Scheduled to be held on December 8, the show will include a community chorus performing their rendition of Handel’s “Messiah under the direction of John Leonard who serves as Director of Choral Activities at The College of New Jersey.
