Freehold Water Boil Advisory Lifted 2 Days After Water Main Break

Residents who were told on Wednesday to boil their water for a full minute before consuming it no longer need to do so.

FREEHOLD, NJ — The water boil advisory that was put in place on Wednesday after a water main break happened in Freehold has been lifted, the Borough announced.

"The water has been tested and deemed safe," the borough said in a statement.

The break happened on Pond Road near Glendale Drive and impacted the following areas:

  • Monument Street No. 29-53, 40-59.
  • Pond Road No. 78-128, 85-129.
  • Topanemus Lane No. 24-56.
  • Crestwood Drive No. 2-12, 3-11.

Residents were told on Wednesday that there was "a potential or actual threat to the quality of water being provided" to them.
