Holt Talks Booker, Jeopardy! On Morning Talk Show

Holt sits down on Good Day New York.

U.S. Rep. Rush Holt, one of four Democratic contenders in the race for a vacant U.S. Senate seat, made an appearance on morning television Monday.

Holt sat down on Fox Television's Good Day New York, covering little new ground than in his campaign ad unveiling last week, offering himself as the anti-Cory Booker.

"I’m a teacher, a scientist and a committed progressive in the mold of Frank Lautenberg. I want to carry on that fight," Holt said.

Holt is vying for the Aug 13 Democratic Primary election nod to run for the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by the death of late Sen. Frank Lautenberg. He is challenged by state Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver, U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone and Newark Mayor Cory Booker.
