iPlay Hosting Special Holiday Kickoff Concert Wednesday

A look at events happening in Freehold this week.

Thanksgiving starts on Thursday but with the local schools letting out early on Wednesday iPlay America wants to start the long weekend off on the right foot.

Working with New York radio station 92.3 NOW the Freehold complex wil welcome Midnight Red to town for a free concert starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday night. Doors for the show open at 7 p.m. and VIP packages are available for $65.

Once the celebration is done the Freehold Elks will keep the fun going with a night of comedy at the lodge on East Main Street. Doors open at 7:30 and the show is scheduled to start at 8:30. There are four comedians scheduled to attend including Sudsy, John Kensil, Josh Bennet and the Legendary Wid. Tickets are $17 in advance or $20 at the door if seats are still available.

The Freehold Borough and Freehold Township Schools will have early dismissal because of parent teacher conferences until they close on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Freehold Regional High School District will have early dismissal on Wednesday and closed for the rest of the week.
