Manalapan Man Arrested Following Fatal Shooting Of Freehold Teen
The 23-year-old shot at the teen from the rear seat of a car, according to the prosecutor's office.
FREEHOLD, NJ — A Manalapan man was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the drive-by shooting that took the life of an 18-year-old on Monday afternoon, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey.
Lamin Conteh, 23, was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

The victim was identified as Reashaun Billingsley. He was sitting on the front porch outside a house on Lloyd Avenue next to another man when a sedan approached the pair.
Conteh, who was on the rear seat, began shooting at the two men, according to an investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and the Freehold Borough Police Department.

The two men fled into the home, but Billingsley's wounds were fatal. Police found the teen unconscious, having been shot at multiple times, after responding to a call at 5 p.m. He was taken to CetraState Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 6:04 p.m.
The second victim suffered a small graze wound to his leg, according to Linskey.
Conteh will remain in the custody of law enforcement, pending a detention hearing to be scheduled in Superior Court. He faces a life sentence on the murder charges if found guilty.
