Memorial Day Parade Fundraiser Tuesday Night at the Cabin

A look at events happening around Freehold on Tuesday September 17, 2013.

Memorial Day is still more than eight months away but work is already underway to prepare for the annual parade in Downtown Freehold.

The effort to raise money to produce the parade will continue tonight with a fundraiser at The Cabin in neighboring Howell. From 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. customers can not only enjoy the restaurant’s Prime Rib Night but also make a contribution to the parade effort. By bringing a flier or simply informing the hostess of the fundraiser 20 percent of a customer’s pre-tax, pre-liquor bill will be donated to the cause. For more information on the parade check out this website.

After the rain on Monday Tuesday looks to be a much clearer forecast with slightly chilly temperatures. The high for today looks to only be near 66 before a low of 43 at night. The temperature will start to rise again after today, approaching close to 78 by the weekend.
