MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The polls have closed, and unofficial results have come in for the 2025 Primary Election.

In Monmouth County, the Republican primary race for County Clerk has been one race catching people’s attention, with two candidates running for the party nomination.

Incumbent Christine Giordano Hanlon is running for re-election as county clerk against challenger Danielle Bellomo.

If re-elected as clerk, Hanlon said she plans to expand the Mobile County Connection initiative to visit more areas and continue voter education initiatives so voters feel “comfortable and secure when casting their ballots.”

If Bellomo is elected as clerk, she hopes to modernize and streamline the clerk’s office to better serve county residents, including “more accessible programs, improved communication, stronger historical preservation, and better outreach.”

In the Democratic Primary, Alison De Noia is running uncontested for her party’s nomination. She has named streamlining the election process and creating "a more efficient, transparent system" as some of her goals if elected.
