Danielle Bellomo
Age: 38
Town of Residence: Marlboro
Education: University of Delaware
Occupation: Stay-at-home mother of 3, current elected member of the Marlboro Township Board of Education
What drove you to seek public office?
My journey into public service began when I saw firsthand how my family’s values were being challenged in the public school system.
As a mother of three young children, I became deeply concerned about the loss of parental rights, the push of age-inappropriate materials, and the erosion of medical choice during and immediately following the pandemic. I knew I had to act, not just for my children, but for all families in my town, and a voice in the state of NJ.
I joined the school board, and I quickly realized my Republican values were needed in Monmouth County leadership. That moment sparked a mission to protect our values, restore common sense, and ensure that all members of this county have a voice.
What sets you apart from the other candidates?
I bring a unique blend of leadership, community involvement, and professional experience. I’ve served as a PTO President, a coach, a Girl Scout troop leader, and an elected member of the Marlboro Board of Education.
My early career in marketing gave me the communication and organizational skills to engage with the community effectively, and my degree in Art History and Conservation reflects my passion for preserving Monmouth County’s rich history.
I’m not just a candidate, I’m a mom, a community builder, and a strong Republican who knows how to get things done with integrity and heart.
What do you see as the biggest issue Monmouth County is facing, and how will you resolve it?
One of the biggest issues facing Monmouth County is the disconnect between government and the people it serves. Too many residents feel unheard and underrepresented.
As County Clerk, I will bring transparency, accessibility, and a modern approach to communication by leveraging social media and public outreach to make government more responsive. I’ll also prioritize fiscal responsibility and clear communication, so every resident knows where their tax dollars are going and how county programs are serving them.
What are past accomplishments or experiences that make you qualified for this position?
My leadership roles speak for themselves. I’ve successfully led PTOs, Girl Scout troops, youth sports teams, and served on the Board of Education. I have a professional background in marketing, which means I know how to engage, inform, and grow participation. I’ve built membership in every organization I’ve had the privilege of leading. My involvement in STEM initiatives and support for children in STEM reflects my commitment to building programs for the future.
I understand the importance of both tradition and innovation, and I’m ready to apply that to the Clerk’s office.
If elected, what do you most hope to achieve in Monmouth County?
I hope to modernize and streamline the Clerk’s office to better serve every resident of Monmouth County. That means more accessible programs, improved communication, stronger historical preservation, and better outreach.
I want residents to feel informed, empowered, and connected. I also aim to expand initiatives that promote civic education, support parental rights, and demand fiscal transparency.
My goal is to be a voice for families and an advocate of the values that make Monmouth County great.
Name one thing about Monmouth County that always makes you smile.
What always makes me smile is seeing families gathered together at local parks, sports fields, and community events.
Whether it’s a Girl Scout meeting, a youth soccer game, a day at the park, or a school gathering, I see the heart of Monmouth County in those moments. It reminds me why I’m running: to protect and strengthen the community I love.
