Monmouth County Leads NJ In Early In-Person Voting: Report
Almost 130K county residents have hit the polls throughout New Jersey's early voting period, the report said.
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — As Election Day begins, Monmouth County has already seen a high turnout in early in-person voting, according to a report from NJ News 12.
As of Tuesday morning, the county has reached almost 130,000 votes cast throughout the early voting period, Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon told NJ News 12.
This is more voters than any other county in New Jersey, the report said.

“We had great numbers here, great turnout,” Monmouth County Board of Elections Chairwoman Eileen Kean told NJ News 12. “Monmouth County had the highest turnout of all the 21 counties.”
Monmouth County first surpassed 100,000 early in-person votes on Saturday afternoon, according to Hanlon.

In New Jersey overall, 150,143 residents cast early votes on Sunday, Lt. Governor Tahesha Way said. More than 1 million voters have cast their vote early in this election cycle.
