Monmouth County Marks Early Voting Milestone

As of Nov. 2, over 100K county residents have cast their ballot early and in person, according to the Monmouth County Clerk.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — As Election Day approaches, voters in Monmouth County have already made history with their turnout for in-person early voting.

As of Saturday afternoon, more than 100,000 county residents have cast their ballot early and in person, according to Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon.

“We’ve officially passed 100k residents who participated in early voting and lead every other county in the state,” Hanlon said.

According to the New Jersey Division of Elections’ latest voter registration totals, 510,615 people are registered to vote in Monmouth County.

As of Nov. 1, there were over 6 million people registered to vote throughout the state.

“Another record-breaking day in New Jersey,” Lt. Governor Tahesha Way said on Sunday. “139,778 people voted early yesterday (Nov. 2) and over 1,000,000 New Jerseyans cast their vote early.”

As Election Day approaches, polling locations throughout the state are preparing for high voter turnout to continue.
