Monmouth County Sheriff Warns Of NJ Drone Sightings
Officials are asking residents to report any information on possible drone sightings to the FBI.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ â As reports of possible drone sightings increase throughout New Jersey, the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to report any recent sightings to the FBI.
In a statement posted on Friday, Sheriff Shaun Golden said the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office is communicating closely with state and federal law enforcement regarding possible drone sightings in New Jersey.
"The Monmouth County Sheriff's Office is aware of the reports of drone activity," Golden said. "There is no known threat to public safety."

As of Friday morning, local law enforcement has not reported drone sightings or activity in Monmouth County.
Throughout the state, drone sightings have been reported in North and South Jersey.

On Wednesday, officials had to cancel a medical helicopter's arrival at a Somerset County crash due to drones hovering near the landing zone. On Friday, drone sightings reached South Jersey and were reported flying over a town in Burlington County.
The FBI Newark and NJ State Police are asking the public to report any information on possible drone sightings by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or submitting an online tip to the FBI tip line.
