MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is on Saturday.
Each year, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) holds Prescription Drug Take Back Day to encourage the removal of unneeded medications from people's homes as a way to prevent medication misuse and opioid addiction.
On Saturday, police departments and agencies throughout the country will participate in National Take Back Day and allow people to drop off their prescription medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
