New & Expanded OB/GYN Location Opens In Monmouth County

FREEHOLD, NJ — Atlantic Health has officially opened the doors of a new and expanded Women’s Health Specialists office in Freehold, offering comprehensive gynecologic and obstetric care to patients.

The new location, adjacent to Atlantic Health CentraState Medical Center and located at 1001 West Main Street, furthers the group’s OB/GYN services throughout Monmouth County, which also currently includes offices in Manalapan and Marlboro.

At Atlantic Medical Group Women’s Health Specialist, patients will be able to access comprehensive gynecologic care for women through every stage of life, officials said, ranging from adolescence into childbearing years, menopause and beyond.

Care at the new location will also include annual exams and breast and bone health screenings, as well as a complete continuum of obstetric services ranging from preconception counseling to pregnancy care, labor and delivery and postpartum care.

“We are proud to bring highly personalized, compassionate and comprehensive OB/GYN care to more women throughout Monmouth County,” says Melissa Lozano, MD, MA, System Medical Director for Women’s Services.

“From annual exams and prenatal care to menopause management, our goal is to provide exceptional care that supports women throughout their lives," Lozano continued.

Expecting patients at the new office will also benefit from integration with Atlantic Health CentraState Medical Center and its state-of-the-art First Impressions Maternity Center, officials said.

The center features newly renovated private Labor & Delivery rooms and the latest fetal monitoring technology.

At the center, officials said mom and baby are supported by a care team comprised of board-certified obstetricians and laborists, magnet-recognized nurses, 24/7 access to neonatologists and anesthesiologists, and access to a Special Care Nursery for babies who need close observation.
