Tractor-trailer overturns on Route 33 bypass in Freehold Township, causing major delays, police advise. No major injuries.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — At 1:12 p.m. Wednesday, a tractor-trailer overturned on the Route 33 bypass in the area of West Main Street.

The highway is currently closed for the investigation and subsequent cleanup, township police said at 4:30 p.m.

Police expect significant delays in the area until the scene is clear, they say.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not seriously injured, police said.

Members of Monmouth County Haz-Mat, Freehold EMS, and NJ DOT responded to provide assistance.
