It took them a little while longer than they probably would have liked but the Freehold Township Patriots finally got their first win of the year Friday night.
After dropping their first two games the local squad put things together for a 12-0 win over a still winless Marlboro squad. According to the Shore Sports Network all 12 points came in the second half but the Patriots were able to hold their opponents scoreless to get the win.
Quarterback Jack O’Brien helped guide his team to victory completing 7 of 11 passes for 11 yards and carried the ball for another 34 yards. His favorite target on the night was Tyler Wilson who caught three passes for 43 yards while Colin Bitsko needed just one more yard to reach 100 on the ground for the night.
