'Person In Crisis' Led To Freehold Township Shelter-In-Place: Prosecutors
Residents were asked to stay inside Saturday morning while law enforcement spoke with the person, prosecutors said.
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Some Freehold Township residents were asked to shelter in place on Saturday due to a person in crisis, Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Spokesman Christopher Swendeman said.
At 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, the Monmouth County Emergency Response Team (MOCERT) and Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) were activated for a call involving a man in crisis in Freehold Township, Swendeman said.
Out of an abundance of caution for local residents, officials said a brief shelter-in-place was ordered for the area of Plymouth Drive near Sussex Place while law enforcement spoke with the man.
