Pet Bird That Flew The Coop In Freehold In 'Custody,' Awaits Owner
Freehold Borough police say they found a "feathered friend" in Freehold and hope to reunite the bird with its owner.

FREEHOLD, NJ — A lost bird was found on Francis Drive Saturday, and is being cared for by the borough's animal control, police say.
The exact breed of bird was not described, but photos may help in identifying the "feathered friend" that resembles a budgie.
Police departments in the area routinely post lost dog photos, and occasionally a lost cat. But a lost bird doesn't come up too often on police notices on social media.
