Police Working On Initiative To Make Freehold Line Safer

The Freehold Borough Police Department are working with the Chesapeake & Delaware Railroad to decrease trespassing.

FREEHOLD, NJ — The Freehold Borough Police Department and the Chesapeake & Delaware Railroad are working together on an initiative to make the Freehold line safer.

In a post to the police department Facebook page, the department wrote that with an increase of trains passing through Freehold, they “want to assure safety for the operators and pedestrians.”

Police are continuing to work with the Chesapeake & Delaware Railroad to post “No Trespassing” signs along the tracks and educate the public on the dangers of trespassing.
