Seven File For Three Seats On Freehold Township School Board
Three incumbents, four challengers file petitions to run for Freehold Township Board of Education in the November election.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Seven candidates, including three incumbents, have filed to run for three full terms on the Freehold Township Board of Education, according to unofficial filings provided by the county Clerk of Elections on Tuesday.
The candidates will run in the November election.

- Michael Amoroso, 361 Brandon Blvd.: Respectful Educational Leadership
- Mary (Meg) Thomann, 44 Country View Drive: Respectful Educational Leadership
- Denise DuMont, 18 Terrence Terrace: Protecting Parental Rights
- Carmela Spieler, 20 Langeveld Drive: Protecting Parental Rights
- Zane Howcott, 63 Stonehurst Blvd., Apt C: Protecting Parental Rights
- Peter Conforti, 32 Outlook Lane
- Michelle Lambert, 4 Trinity Place: Respectful Educational Leadership
Lambert, Amoroso and Thomann are all current Board of Education members. Lambert, serving since 2010, is the current president of the school board. Amoroso, the board vice president, has served since 2011. The three are on the "Respectful Educational Leadership" team.
DuMont, Spieler and Howcott share the designation of "Protecting Parental Rights," a designation initiated by Dumont, she said.
