Man Wanted In Connection With Allentown Shooting: Prosecutor

Investigation into the shooting led to a borough-wide shelter-in-place Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

ALLENTOWN, NJ — Local authorities have identified a man wanted in connection with a shooting in Allentown early Tuesday afternoon, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.

Daniel Williams, 52, is wanted in connection with the shooting, Santiago said. Prosecutors did not specify Williams' hometown.

The shooting led to a shelter-in-place throughout Allentown that began around 1:3o p.m. on Tuesday. The shelter-in-place was lifted at 4 p.m., according to borough officials.

Throughout the shelter-in-place, Santiago said investigators were trying to locate the suspect in the shooting.

Anyone with information on the incident or anyone who may see Williams is being asked to call 911 immediately.
