Spring Hydrant Flushing Planned In Freehold Township

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Residents should be aware spring hydrant flushing set to begin in late March and run through June, township officials said.

On Monday, March 17, the Freehold Township Water Department will commence hydrant flushing, which officials said will continue through Friday, June 27.

Flushing will be done between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

While hydrant flushing takes place, officials said water may become slightly discolored. If this occurs, running the cold water for several minutes should clear up the problem, officials said.
