Walk around the borough
Join your neighbors and take a "Walk About Town," as part of the Mayor's Wellness Campaign for the summer.
On Tuesday, join members of Borough Council, friends and neighbors as they take the first walk through different neighborhoods of the borough each week.
All ages are welcome, as are leashed pets.
"It's a lot of fun to meet new people, learn some fun facts about the various locations in town and get out and move," the borough says in its Facebook post.
Walks are paced, based on the participants' abilities and the weather. Be sure to bring a water bottle and meet at Borough Hall, 30 Mechanic St., at 6 p.m. on July 11.
Free yoga
Continuing along the wellness concept, on Wednesday nights, you can participate in a free yoga class. The classes started last Wednesday.
Just meet at the Court Street School Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Class is taught by a certified instructor. Bring a mat, a towel and water. A mat can be provided if you need.
This is a great way to try yoga for the first time or get back to something you love, the borough said.

Finally, there is a free Downtown Freehold Walking Tour this Saturday, July 15, from 2:15 to 4:30 p.m., starting at the American Hotel on East Main Street, presented by Preservation NJ.
The theme of the tour is the importance of historic preservation in placemaking. There will be discussions of district management and examples of streetscape beautification programs, organizers say.

The program includes a visit to the former train station (now a bus station) and a visit to the Monmouth Historical Association.
After the tour there will be Preservation NJ networking reception at Artis Brewery on South Street with drinks and appetizers, the organization says.
