Toastmasters Meeting Wednesday in Freehold

A look at events being held in Freehold on Wednesday October 16, 2013.

A group that works to help make people comfortable with public speaking will be meeting on Wednesday night in Freehold.

The local chapter of Toastmasters will be meeting at 57 Schanck Road. There are more than 12,000 chapter across the country where members work on speaking and leadership skills. The Freehold chapter has just more than 33 members and meets every other week.

Polling places will also be open in Freehold Township and Freehold Borough for the special election to fill the seat formerly held by Sen. Frank Lautenberg.

The National Weather Service is predicting patchy fog this morning before a cloudy day with a high of around 71 degrees. There is a 30 percent chance of showers tonight when the low is expected to drop to around 58 degrees.
