Utility Work Closes West Main Street In Freehold Borough

Eastbound traffic on the road will be restricted from McLean Street to Throckmorton Street for most of the day, officials said.

FREEHOLD BOROUGH, NJ — Eastbound traffic on Main Street (Rt. 537) will be restricted from McLean Street to Throckmorton Street due to utility work, Freehold Borough said.

During the closure, officials said traffic will be rerouted to avoid the area throughout most of the day.

Westbound traffic going out of town will not be affected, the Borough said.

Officials are asking drivers to follow detour signs and drive slowly if they're going through the area while crews are working on the road.

If possible, officials ask that drivers plan an alternate route.
