VFW Hosting Flag Retirement Ceremony Wednesday
A look at events happening in and around Freehold this week.

After meeting on the road last time the members of the Freehold Borough Council will be back in their regular seats at Borough Hall for their Monday meetings.
Starting at 7:30 p.m. the agenda for the meeting includes a presentation by the Monmouth County Engineering Department about Route 537 and a presentation by JCP&L as well. There will also be a second reading and public hearing relating to parking in the Market Yard Municipal Parking Lot.
The Freehold Township Planning Board is also scheduled to meet on Thursday though no agenda had been posted on the website as of Sunday night.

Outside of the municipal offices St. Rose of Lima will be holding Bingo on Monday night starting at 6 p.m. The night includes an early bird special starting at 7:15 with the regular bingo starting at 7:30. Pizza, drinks and snacks will also be available for purchase during the night.
The Downtown Freehold Fall Concert series is set to kick off Wednesday night at 7 p.m. with a performance by The Nerds. Also on Wednesday night the Freehold Borough Library Teen Library Committee and Freehold VFW Post 4374 will host a special flag retirement ceremony at the post located at 50 Waterworks Road.
