A man was spotted on video messing up some holiday lawn decorations in the early hours of Christmas morning on Conover Street, and police said the investigation is still open.

The person is male, approximately 5-feet, 9-inches and wore a red shirt with white writing, police said.

Police spliced together video from some home camera systems to show the man pulling at strings of lights and kicking other decorations, clearly not in the holiday spirit. Parts of the well known song "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" play in the background.

Capt. Ronnie Steppat said police are still looking for tips and want to pursue the matter, even though it is not the most serious of crimes.

"But really, you do that on Christmas?" he asked.
