Water Leak Partially Closes South Street In Freehold Borough

FREEHOLD BOROUGH, NJ — Southbound traffic will be temporarily restricted on South Street (Route 79) from Brinckerhoff Avenue to Park Avenue (Route 33) due to a water leak, Freehold Borough said Wednesday morning.

The road will be partially closed while crews work on resolving the leak and traffic will be re-routed to avoid the area for most of the day, according to officials.

Northbound traffic into town is not affected by the leak, the Borough said.

Freehold Borough is asking drivers to follow any detour signs and drive slowly in the area while crews work on the issue.
