In 2025, the county welcomed a variety of new stores, restaurants and more to the area, with even more openings still to come as 2026 begins.

What’s Opening?
- PGA Tour Superstore: With a tentative opening set for late Spring 2026, golfers around Monmouth County will soon have a new location for golf equipment, apparel and accessories when PGA Tour Superstore opens in Ocean Township.
- Felice: As part of the new Monmouth Square redevelopment in Eatontown, this upscale Italian restaurant plans to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.
- RWJBarnabas Health Cancer Center: In late 2026, RWJBarnabas Health’s new cancer treatment center is expected to open in Tinton Falls. The 150,000-square-foot building is currently under construction.
- Jack & Jones JJXX: Founded in Denmark, this global fashion brand is just the latest in a series of additions to Freehold Raceway Mall.
- Kids Empire: Occupying 15,059 square feet, this indoor playground is set to open in early 2026 and offer kids of all ages a safe, colorful and action-packed environment to climb, slide, jump, explore and more at Freehold Raceway Mall.
- ParkStage: As part of the Count Basie Center for the Arts’ Centennial Celebration, a new, large-scale outdoor performance venue is set to debut at the East Freehold Park Fairgrounds in Summer 2026.
- Von Maur Department Store: In Fall 2027, Von Maur Department Stores is set to open its first New Jersey location at Freehold Raceway Mall and offer products from top brands ranging from Bobbi Brown to Marc Jacobs and Free People.

- Netflix Film Studio: In 2026, construction is expected to begin on the Netflix Film Studio planned for the former Fort Monmouth army base. The company expects to open its first four soundstages in 2027.
- Long Branch Health, Wellness & Technology Center: In September, Long Branch officially began its conversion of the former Ronald McDonald House into the city’s new Health, Wellness & Technology Center. The project is expected to be complete in 2026 or early 2027.
- Azura at Holmdel: Plans for a senior living community set to take over the former Vonage site on 23 Main Street are currently in development in Holmdel.
- Manalapan Recreation Building: A new recreation building designed to expand opportunities for residents to gather, learn and play is in development in Manalapan, with construction expected to begin in 2026 and an anticipated building opening in 2028.
- LIDO Asbury Park: A new luxury condo building is currently in development in Asbury Park, with completion expected in 2027.
- Freehold Raceway Redevelopment: Months after the historic racetrack held its closing day, new owners have acquired Freehold Raceway and outlined a preliminary vision for the site that includes integrated multi-use retail, chef-driven dining, and a boutique hotel and social club.
- Hazlet Recreation Building: A new year-round recreation building is currently in development in Hazlet, with a goal to have all funding in place and the facility completed by 2027.
- THRIVE Red Bank: A first-of-its-kind neuroinclusive apartment building broke ground in Red Bank in 2025 and is set to open its doors in 2027.
- Bell Works: Fort Monmouth: In 2025, Inspired by Somerset Development (the developer behind Bell Works) announced their plans to reimagine Commvault’s HQ in Tinton Falls under their ‘metroburb’ model.
- Monmouth Square: As construction continues to create Monmouth Square (formerly known as Monmouth Mall), multiple stores have signed leases to join the new development.
