Babysitter Left Child, Infant Alone While At Casino: AC Cops
Shaun Sanders, 23, faces endangering the welfare of a child charges and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, police said

ATLANTIC CITY - A Pleasantville woman has been charged with leaving a 6-year-old and an infant alone in a car in a parking garage for more than an hour while she went to apply for job at the Ocean Resort Casino, police said.
Shaun Saunders, 23, was arrested on July 30 after a patron found the 6-year-old walking around the parking garage by himself and notified security personnel, according to Atlantic City police.
Officers James Bower and Albert Herbert responded to the casino at 3:01 p.m. The vehicle the child had gotten out of was located and a baby less than a year old was found in the car, police said.

The officers stayed in the parking garage to try and locate Saunders.They looked for an hour before Saunders returned. Saunders told police she had been completing job paperwork for the resort. She was also found to be in possession of marijuana, police said.
The children were turned over to their mother after she was located at her place of employment. The Division of Child Protection and Permanency assisted police.

Saunders - who was arrested without incident - was released on a summons with a future court date.
