​Car Overturns In Galloway, Causing Serious Injuries: Police

A vehicle overturned and caught fire Wednesday after striking a utility pole in Galloway.

GALLOWAY, NJ β€” A vehicle overturned and caught fire Wednesday after striking a utility pole in Galloway. The driver had serious injuries following the crash, according to Galloway police.

The incident occurred just after 4 p.m. near South Pomona Road and Duerer Street, authorities said. Galloway police received a report that a vehicle struck a telephone pole and overturned.

When police arrived at the scene of the crash, they found a 2014 Jeep Cherokee overturned about 15 feet from the roadway with the driver trapped inside.

James M. Ewing, 68, of Galloway, was removed from the vehicle by police as it caught fire. Ewing was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division with serious injuries, according to police.
