Woman Struck, Killed By NJ Transit Train On Christmas Eve, Officials Say
The 76-year-old Pleasantville woman was struck by a train on the Atlantic City Rail Line the evening of Christmas Eve, officials said.
ABSECON, NJ — A Pleasantville woman was struck and killed by a NJ Transit train headed to Philadelphia on Christmas Eve, authorities said.
The train on the Atlantic City Rail Line struck the 76-year-old "female trespasser" just after 7 p.m. on Dec. 24 near Absecon, a NJ Transit spokesperson told Patch.
None of the 30 passengers and crew on board the train were injured.

Service on the Atlantic City line was temporarily suspended but has since resumed. Customers were accommodated by cross-honoring with NJ TRANSIT bus and PATCO.
New Jersey Transit Police are investigating.
